Programmes

  1. Peace Trails

WICI Africa organizes annual peace trails through the continent with the main aim of promoting peace and unity in Africa. We work with Africa governments and their tourism authorities to lend security and political support to the trails. With every step of the journey, we hope to touch and be touched by people - heart to heart, face-to-face creating an opportunity for a more peaceful world.
  2. Annual Leadership conferences
There are strong ties of association between the youths of Africa, especially those involved with the work of transforming the social, economic, and political circumstances of different people throughout the continent. They work in rural communities, they work in cities, and sometimes they work outside the continent. However, in as much as they work in different environments, they lack that forum to share their experiences with fellow Africans who are undertaking such activities and experiencing such challenges. This conferences brings them together in an annual platform through which African leaders who have not had the opportunity to attend the leadership trainings through Young African Leaders Initiative, African Leadership Academy, OYW, among others the opportunity to share and learn from one another.
  3. Quarterly leaders Meetings
Young African leaders have had trainings in different forums which include the Young African Leadership Initiative, African Leadership Academy, One Young World, Global Change Makers, and United Nations Ambassadors in different sectors among other like-minded organizations. The numbers of young African leaders coming out of these conferences every year is astounding yet every so often these young leaders fail to find a common platform through which they can analyse their work after training, synthesize their different experiences in different parts of Africa, and evaluate the overall significance of their different experiences and the challenges they face as the young leaders of an emerging continent.
WICI Africa brings together the young leaders to quarterly meetings that seek to create a platform through which Young African Leaders can share and learn from one another. The forums shall be held in different countries every three months to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate the work of the Young African Leader through showcasing the recent project activities (related to our objectives) and promoting their programs on a continental scale to create an impact in others through its inspirational framework. The change makers are encouraged to learn from one another by visiting and staying in the different countries prior to the next young leaders meeting. The aim of such processes which include programmatic evaluations of approaches is to create a greater environment for networking among these leaders and be able to link the experiences of African societies in the 54 countries.
